Discipline, service, and leadership come alive in our Scouts and Girl Guides Programme, one of the most dynamic extracurriculars at The Windsor School. Led by the dedicated Omuny. Geoffrey Wantale, this programme brings together Boy Scouts, Girl Guides, and our youngest group—the Brownies—to instil a spirit of teamwork, patriotism, and civic responsibility.
Our scouts shine in every ceremonial event, confidently executing parade, the Guard of Honour, march pasts, trooping the colours, and delivering flawless renditions of national anthems. These young leaders are regular fixtures at school and community events, where their coordination and commitment leave lasting impressions. Beyond drills and salutes, our scouts are deeply involved in community service. This year they joined hands with Baby Centre pupils to visit Sanyu Babies Home, where they donated much-needed gifts and spent time with children in need.
The highlight of their year was a four-day camping expedition at the National Scouts Camping Grounds at Nabinoonya Beach, held shortly after the term holidays. It was a time for bonding, learning survival skills, and strengthening the values of resilience, unity, and service. For many of our learners, these moments become defining memories—of leadership, laughter, and purpose beyond the classroom.
